I like to add protein to most of my meals for energy, especially important if you’re training. I picked up this tasty pack of Meadows free range chicken at my local farmers market recently. I really like that the ingredients are ‘real’. I tried the Portuguese chicken that was made with 97% chicken, lemon, paprika, chilli, and oregano. No artificial mumbo jumbo additives. Tick. I guess that’s one of the benefits of buying from a local market versus a big supermarket chain where often products are packed full of additives to help achieve a longer shelf life (more money, but bad for our health).
A skinless chicken breast is sealed in a pack to lock in moisture, and wow is this chicken moist. It’s slow-roasted and has the most intense flavour, I actually felt like I was eating something naughty. The chicken breasts are available in a variety of different flavours/spice blends and they are gluten free.
Great for salads and sandwiches; Meadows chickens roam free in natural grasslands in Gippsland, Victoria, and happy chickens taste good.
